Mac Downloads

Notes on downloading:

* (Adfly) Wait 5 seconds and press the SKIP AD button on the top right of the screen.

* (Google Drive) Once it's open, there will be a sign saying "The file cannot be previewed" (Obviously since it's a zip file). After you click download, there will be another window saying that Google cannot scan the file for viruses since it's too large. Just download it.

* (MEGA) Once it's open, click the blue "Download to your browser" hyperlink. It will start downloading.

* (Turbobit) Once the link is opened, click the grey "Regular Download" button. Then near the right side of the page input a captcha code. Then press download.

IMPORTANT: Some people have said that they are downloading nonsense files. Only download the file that has the filename "Age of Mythology EE v1.0.5.zip." and a filesize of 2.45GB. When downloading it is best to be careful about clicking ads. That is why I have the "Notes on downloading" section down there to help choose the correct link and not the ads link. 

Please make sure to click on the correct button. I've got many people saying that they downloaded some nonsense file. Don't press anything that says "You have won" or "Earn $$$ fast" or "Fast download" or "Premium" or something because those are viruses/spam/useless stuff. (This does not go only for my download links but for all the download links in the world.) Be careful of ads.


Instructions:

1. Unzip the file (Using the built-in app "Archive Manager" on the mac)
2. Double click the icon that comes out
3. Wait for around 20 seconds.
4. The screen will "glitch" but when you see the ensemble logo/glitch starts moving press "esc"
5. Wait for another 20 seconds.
6. Yay!
*If the mouse doesn't appear the first time, quit the game (Command + Alt + Escape) and restart it. This fixes the problem. 

If you want the game to be "full screen"
1. Right click on Age of Mythology Titans with Golden Gift.app
2. Press "Package Contents"
3. Double Click "Wineskin"
4. Press "Advanced"
5. In the EXE Flags: add this:  padsp wine "aomx.exe" xres=1280 yres=800
6. Change the xres and yres to your screen resolution
7. Done!

If you want to play Age of Mythology (Not titans)
1. Right Click and Press "Open Package Contents"
2. Double click "Wineskin.app"
3. Click "Advanced"
4. Click "Browse" in Windows EXE
5. Navigate to /Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Mythology/aom.exe
6. Select it.
7. Run it
8. Yay.

Notes: 
aom.exe is Age of Mythology
aomx.exe is Age of Mythology Titans

Possible errors:

1. Initialization Failed

To fix this problem:
1. Right click on Age of Mythology Titans with Golden Gift.app
2. Press "Package Contents"
3. Double Click "Wineskin"
4. Press "Advanced"
5. In the EXE Flags: add this: padsp wine "aomx.exe" xres=1280 yres=800
6. Change the xres and yres to your screen resolution
7. Done!

2. Msxml 4.0 Is not installed correctly. It is required to run the game
To fix this problem:
1. Right click on Age of Mythology Titans with Golden Gift.app
2. Press "Package Contents"
3. Double Click "Wineskin"
4. Press "Advanced"
5. Press "Tools"
6. Press "Winetricks"
7. In the Search for Packages box search for msxml4
8. Click the check box beside the package
9. Press "Run"
10. Install it.
11. Done!

3. Cannot see mouse cursor

To fix this problem:
1. Restart the game
*You can quit the game by pressing Command + Alt + Esc

OR
--A person named George suggested this. Haven't tried it though.
1. Try pressing options while in the game
2. Change the screen size
3. Press ok

5. Can't be run from unidentified developer

1. Go to System Preferences>Security>General
2. Press the unlock button on the bottom left of the window
3. Input your password
4. Allow applications downloaded from: Anywhere

6. How to right click

Either do:
1. Ctrl + Left Click (Always works)
2. Go to System Preferences and make the right click be using two fingers to tap
3. Go to System Preferences and make clicking the right part of the trackpad right click (like a windows)
4. Use an external mouse (and right click normally)

7. Stuck at verifying

1. Open Terminal.app (Search in spotlight)
2. Type: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine
3. Put a space after quarantine
4. Drag the AoM.app into the terminal window
5. The command should look something like: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Age Of Mythology.app
6. Press enter

CheckWriter V39 Mac

Details: This writes your checks for you! See a sample below. Checks have been tested for alignment; If you encounter problems with alignment it's probably the way the printer takes it in. The file autosets margins, but sometimes that might be the problem. Try a sample first before printing on the actual check.

Notes on downloading:

* (Microify/Adfly) Wait 5 seconds and press the SKIP AD button on the top right of the screen.

* (Google Drive) Once it's open, there will be a button at the top right, (looks like a download button) press it and download the file.

1. Double click the CheckWriterv29m.xlsm file, and it'll ask you if you want to enable macros. Click Yes (or enable content)
2. Choose your bank from the tabs at the bottom
3. Input the date, payee name, and the amount. Description is just for your reference when you want to print the list of checks
4. Click Print (will instantly print to your default printer) without any more popups
5. It will automatically show up in the check list. To cancel/edit a check, you can type the check number and click "Find"

Other stuff:
Regarding alignment, all these banks have been tested by me and they align properly; just sometimes they end up on the line or something is due to the way different printers get paper. The checkwriter assumes 0 margins; this is set via excel, but if your printer adds some more margins, this will not account for that. Email me if you need edits; just tell me what kind of a change you need and I can edit it for you.

Supported Banks:
The reason there isn't more is because I don't see other banks' checks... :v

You could send me a copy of your bank's check (just blank out the account number, transit number, branch name, your address, personal info, etc.) if you want a custom one for you and help make this checkwriter the best one :P.

Details: This is Age of Empires, a real-time strategy game made by Ensemble Studios. It has 2 expansion packs "The Warchiefs" and "The Asian Dynasties" which are available for the Mac. If it asks you for the "Original Age of Empires III application", choose "Age of Empires III" which is in the folder "Age of Empires 3 for Mac with 2 Expansions". (Double click to run)

Screen Flickering

Option 1: (Run in Windowed Mode)
1. Once the game starts, press Command+Alt+A
2. Done!

Option 2: (Run in Fullscreen Mode)
1. Once the game starts, press Command+Tab to minimize window
2. Left click the minimized window (Maximize the game again)
3. Done! 

How to right click

Counter Strike Condition Zero Ultimate Edition

Details: This is Counter Strike Ultimate Edition, a first person shooter game made by Valve. The Windows version was cracked by Flash, and I ported it to work on the Mac. (Double click to run)

3. Enter the IP Address (usually 192.168.x.x) when adding a new favorite
4. Double click the created favorite

In-Game Commands (Not all):
bot_kick: remove all bots
bot_add_ct: add one ct bot (counter-terrorist)
bot_add_t: add one t bot (terrorist)

Settings UI v1.7

Details: This is a user interface for changing hidden settings on a Mac.
Features: Prevent mac from sleeping when the lid is closed, changing idle sleep time, HD sleep time, standby delay, showing/hiding hidden files, showing CPU/GPU temperatures, caffeinate, etc. The help option (inside the application) is pretty self explanatory. You can just double click to run the file!

USB UDF Filesystem Formatter

Details: This is a standalone .app to format a usb with the udf filesystem format. The main advantage of UDF over other systems like FAT32 is that it is cross platform with all operating systems, and it does not have the 4GB filesize limit, unlike FAT32. Notes on downloading:

This shows you how to format a USB Disk using the UDF (Universal Disk Format). This format for a USB is very useful since it works cross platform will ALL operating systems without a 4GB file limit. (FAT32 has a 4GB limit for a single file). This means it can run on Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. natively.

UDF is usually used on CDs and that's the reason why CDs work on any platform. Having a UDF USB works the same way. (And so it is extremely useful)

Instructions are listed below. The video gives a background on how to do it, but in case the font there is too small I've listed the instructions down here too.

Click SKIP AD at the top right corner when downloading.

Instructions
1. Run the .app file by double clicking
2. Just choose the disk you want to format
3. Click "Yes"; make sure you pick the right disk!
4. Choose whether or not to format it; it's best you format to remove bad sectors
5. Format as UDF/FAT32
6. Done!
* It takes about 2 seconds/GB so depending on your USB it might take a while

For those who want to do it yourself, you can do it manually. 
Instructions (Manual)
1. Open Terminal
2. Run the command "diskutil list"
3. Get the device's disk name (/dev/disk#) replace # with the actual number
4. Run "diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk#"
5. Run "diskutil secureErase 0 /dev/disk#"
*You may or may not run step 5, but it is recommended you do.
*It may take a long time if the disk has a large capacity
*This step basically writes 0s on the disk to prevent bad sectors and clean up the disk for a new filesystem
6. Run "sudo newfs_udf -b 512 /dev/disk#"
*512 is the block size. If you don't know what that does the default is 512. (512 bytes)
*You will need to input your password. For security, sudo hides typed password characters.
7. Remount the disk by "diskutil mount /dev/disk#"
8. Done!
